GNS Soccer School
GNS has long fielded competitive soccer teams who have gone on to win city, provincial, and even national competitions. With such a strong history and commitment to the sport, GNS proudly opened its own Soccer School in the fall of 2009 to help better support our young athletes.
The vision for the Soccer School also incorporates coaching training for senior soccer players who want to give back to the program and help prepare younger players to eventually take their places on the Senior teams. Not only does this system reinforce the school’s soccer philosophy, the younger students are inspired by the older ones and are encouraged to work hard at the sport, with the hopes of one day wearing GNS's white jersey and playing at home on our turf field.
GNS Prospects Academy – Grades 4 to 8
The Prospects Program focuses on learning by doing, allowing players to build a larger repertoire of soccer movements and learn the basic principles of play in a fun and challenging environment. Children in this age group are more aware of their environment and are able to reflect on their actions and learn from mistakes. This is a “golden age of learning,” and an optimal time for skill development. The group will be divided into two smaller training groups based on age and ability.
This a recommended program for those looking to compete on the future GNS teams.
