What is the Application Process?

Applications are available in the summer one year prior to the intended year of entry at GNS and reviewed beginning in the fall. We strongly suggest completing your application for Junior Kindergarten prior to November.

Families are encouraged to attend an Open House, arrange a campus tour or attend an admissions event during the application process. Connect with the Admissions Office to schedule a campus tour or register for an event.

After completing the Application Inquiry form below, you will receive an email with instructions to create your myGNS login. Once you are logged into the myGNS portal, you will be able to access the application form. You will also be assigned an application checklist to upload supporting documents (including a current applicant and family photo, proof of age/citizenship, and immunization records).

Included with your application form is a non-refundable application fee of $250 CDN, payable by credit card.

Once the application form and all required documents have been submitted, candidates may be invited to attend a School Visit. School Visits are unique to each candidate and may include a/an:

  • Campus tour
  • Family meeting
  • Readiness assessment

For candidates/families who are unable to attend in-person, an online interview and academic assessment will be arranged with a member of our Admissions team.

As part of the application process, families will be invited to meet with a member of our school’s leadership team to gain a better understanding of your expectations and to share with you the opportunities available at GNS. Families are also welcome to request a meeting at anytime to discuss certain aspects of our program.

Our efforts are directed toward creating a balanced class with a range of personalities, learning styles and abilities.

The Admissions Committee, which is comprised of members of the Academic and Admissions teams, will review the whole application and send a decision to the family typically within 10 business days of the School Visit/Assessment date:

  • Offer of Admission: the candidate is offered a place at GNS.
  • Wait Pool: the candidate is placed in the wait pool for the grade and will be notified if space becomes available.
  • Not Offered: the candidate is not suited to the school’s program.

Congratulations! If you have received an offer of admission to GNS, you will need to complete the assigned Tuition and Enrolment Agreement form by the deadline indicated in your offer letter.

Included with this form is a non-refundable registration fee. For more information on fees, refer to Tuition & Other Costs.
