The GNS Effect.

“I would say that the GNS community really helped me to grow into a more balanced individual and to take on more leadership roles and become a stronger leader. Before GNS, I would usually not participate in too many activities, but because of the smaller community here, I’ve been able to really get to know everyone within GNS and I have been able to form really strong bonds with my friends and with the teachers as well. That really allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and make those contributions through leadership or through music or through academics.”

“The IB program has been really great because it has such a focus on making you a really well-rounded individual. If you’re weaker in the arts, for example, or writing, you kind of have to do writing in every class. So it makes sure that you don’t really have a weak point. And if you do, it helps support that.”

“I feel like I’ve gotten a great education while I’ve been at this school, especially with the smaller class sizes, having more one-on-one time with teachers has been really helpful. Along with that, having my own University Guidance Counselor really helped with the process of being able to write my applications and have somebody help me edit them, and somebody to help me find good schools. I felt very supported and they ended up helping me get into the program I wanted at UBC.”
