students in music class

Students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 have many opportunities to learn from outstanding performing and visual arts instructors. Our Arts faculty consists of specialists in their respective fields and includes many teachers who have professional experience in the industry, ensuring our students experience high-calibre training as preparation for a career in the arts or as a foundation for a lifelong exploration of their creativity.

Throughout their time at GNS, students are encouraged to develop their creative and artistic abilities as a means of self-expression, collaboration, and communication. Beginning in Junior Kindergarten, students participate in an integrated arts education program that includes music and visual arts. As they progress through the Junior School, students are then introduced to choir and performance. In the Middle and Senior Schools, students build upon this foundation both inside and outside the classroom as students are encouraged to participate in a vast array of performing and visual arts activities and clubs.

Our Senior Arts program affords our students a host of professional experiences, through public presentations, involvement in workshops and master classes, or participation in competitions and festivals.
