GNS Robotics introduces students to engineering, coding and innovation through the internationally recognized FIRST LEGO League program. Students develop technical skills, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving while tackling authentic design challenges. GNS currently offers robotics at the following grades:
Developed in partnership with Vancouver Film School, CineMagic immerses Grade 11/12 students in film, animation, and digital media production. Students learn from industry professionals and GNS educators while developing skills in storytelling, filmmaking, visual effects, and content creation.
The program also produces the Gryphon News Network (GNN), giving students authentic experience creating news broadcasts, interviews, and media content for the GNS community.
Launch Pad is a Grade 11/12 personalized learning program that connects students with mentors, industry experts, and real-world opportunities in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The GNS Esports program combines competitive gaming with teamwork, communication, leadership, strategic thinking, and digital citizenship. Officially sanctioned by BC School Sports, the program welcomes students of all experience levels.
Entrepreneurial thinking is woven throughout MYP Design and expands in Grades 9 and 10 through partnerships with Future Design School and Junior Achievement. Students develop innovative solutions, explore business concepts, and bring ideas to life. The journey culminates at the Grade 10 GNS Innovation Expo.
In Grades 6–10, MYP Design empowers students to solve real-world challenges through hands-on, project-based learning. Working across digital, physical, and emerging technologies, students develop creativity, technical skills, collaboration, and confidence while designing solutions for an ever-changing world.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the world around us—including how students learn, create, communicate and prepare for the future. At Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS), we believe it is important to approach these changes thoughtfully, responsibly and in alignment with our core values.
Since 2022, GNS has been intentionally developing a comprehensive approach to AI in education. This work has included staff professional development, classroom exploration, student AI literacy initiatives, collaboration with leading educational experts, provincial and national inter-school collaboration, and the development of a new Whole-School AI Policy and governance framework.
