New Entrepreneurial Summer Camp
The camp is looking for local alumni, or parent entrepreneurs to virtually call in to help inspire this next generation of entrepreneurs to think differently!
GNS is offering a new entrepreneurial Summer FUN at GNS program this year called Startup Skool, which focuses on developing core skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, creativity, confidence, and resilience. The week-long camp has participants learning the fundamentals of starting a business, improving their digital literacy, and building problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
The camps include Creative HQ (ages 8 to 11); Innovation (ages 8 to 11); Designed Thinkers (ages 12 to 16); Creative HQ (ages 8 to 11); and Ravens – Innovation Station (ages 7 to 9).
At the end of the week, each Startup Skool will include a pitch or a virtual meet and greet with Victoria-based business people. During the innovation camps, students are challenged to create their innovative ideas, test their product in the market, build prototypes and pitch their ideas to a “Dragon’s Den” panel of respected local entrepreneurs. At the Creative HQ and Designed Thinkers camps, participants explore the world of advertising by creating their own videos, building their own products and meeting with entrepreneurs from the community.
To help create the experience, the camp is looking for local alumni, or parent entrepreneurs to virtually call in for an hour on a Friday afternoon to help inspire this next generation of entrepreneurs to think differently! The best way to apply to volunteer as an entrepreneur is to fill out the volunteer application online at gnscamps.campbrainstaff.com. Indicate you are interested in volunteering for one to two hours at the Startup Skool camps and which week(s) you are available on a Friday afternoon.
Our world is rapidly changing; the ability to think like entrepreneurs will be the key to re-defining our future. If this is something you are interested in signing up your child for, we still have space in some of the camps. For more information, please visit: https://www.mygns.ca/gryphon-life/summer-fun-at-gns.
