An Annual Tradition—Grade 8 Gallery of Fame

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Class of 2029 entertained, enlightened and edified their audience in Denford Hall as they upheld the long-standing tradition of Gallery of Fame. On this day, some of history’s most famous and infamous characters came alive from within tableaus that depict traits of the IB Learner Profile including persevering, knowledgeable, principled, risk-taking, caring, thinking and communicating.

Grade 8 students spent weeks researching, writing, creating and reflecting on the historical figure they chose for this project. Exploring the elements of biography became their mission as they took on the role of GNS biographer. In the process of researching a famous individual, students have reflected and responded to the ever-controversial question “Does Greatness come from Within or Without?”
