December Update for Our Neighbours

As students count down to Winter Break, here are a few December updates from GNS.

Pemberton Woods Campus Renewal 

GNS has now completed two detailed resubmissions of the Pemberton Woods Campus Renewal with Victoria City Staff, finalizing technical details such as road improvements along campus edges. In November, the City’s Advisory Design Panel provided a strong, positive review of the plan. Over the coming months, we’ll continue to work with City staff as we move through the rezoning application process. For a detailed update, please visit pwrenewal.ca.

Christmas Battle of the Big Bands for Charity

See the Island Big Band take on the Don Leppard Big Band in a battle of the big bands for charity on Monday, December 15 7:00 p.m. at Denford Hall. Two big bands square off in a holiday fundraiser benefitting Salvation Army Sunset Lodge and The Mustard Seed Street Church. Tickets are $20 at the door, cash only!

Winter Break Dates

Friday, December 12, 2025, marks the last day of classes for GNS students before Winter Break. Students return to school on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Campus Activities over Winter Break

Denford Hall has been rented out from December 17 to December 21 to a community theatre group for performances open to the public. 

All community groups who use our facilities are required to remind their participants to abide by neighbourhood parking and traffic regulations. Our rental contracts include these expectations and clear guidelines around parking. Licensees are asked to caution users to observe all posted signs and bylaws in the area.
