Richmond Avenue Closure Update

City of Victoria construction continues on Richmond Avenue between Quamichan and Oak Shade Lane, with intermittent road closures. This road closure continues to impact GNS school bus service, which has temporarily been moved back to Maddison. 

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestions on how we might move through this as a community, and for working with us as we navigate this traffic pattern change together.

The City hopes to have the Richmond roadwork completed by early 2026.

Hunt for the Oldest DNA, a documentary screening for the community!

Glenlyon Norfolk School proudly presents a special evening for the community! 

Join us for a free screening of Hunt for the Oldest DNA, winner of the 2025 Emmy Award for Best Science Documentary, followed by a Question & Answer session with the filmmaker, Victoria-based Niobe Thompson.

For decades, scientists have tried to unlock the secrets of ancient DNA. Follow the dramatic quest to recover DNA millions of years old and reveal a lost world from before the last Ice Age.

7 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Space is limited. Tickets are FREE but must be reserved in advance.

GNS presents: Clue High School Edition

You’re invited! Join Glenlyon Norfolk School’s Theatre Company for the laugh-out-loud mystery-comedy, CLUE High School Edition. Based on the iconic board game and the cult classic movie, this show is a fast-paced, madcap race to find out whodunit, with what weapon, and where. Get ready for the laughs, the twists, and maybe a shocking reveal or two! Performances run from November 26 to November 29 in Denford Hall.

November 17 – A busy week of events at GNS

Several special events are taking place at GNS the week of November 17. We appreciate your patience and understanding as traffic at the PW Campus may be busier than usual on the following dates:

Tuesday, November 18,  6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Middle & Senior School event, Denford Hall

Thursday, November 20, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Documentary screening, Denford Hall

All community groups who use our facilities are required to remind their participants to abide by neighbourhood parking and traffic regulations. Attendees of school events are also reminded to observe all posted signs and bylaws in the area.
