GNS is privileged to offer the highly esteemed International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) to learners in Grade 11 and 12, as an option for curricular enrichment.
Graduates of this two-year program are accepted enthusiastically into universities around the world, who often reward our students’ hard work by honouring IB Diploma credits as first-year university credits.

Glenlyon Norfolk School has been an authorized IB Diploma Programme School since 1996. Since that time, our students consistently score above the world average on their IB exams.
Our IB students and faculty have been recognized through awards and scholarships in Canada and internationally. Our teachers also serve as examiners, teacher trainers, and curriculum leaders for the International Baccalaureate Organization.
Over 2000 universities worldwide offer advanced credit to IB Diploma students including Harvard, McGill and UBC.
The IB Diploma Programme is an internationally-recognized two-year course of study with a variety of both internal and external evaluations, and is an excellent indicator of success at university. Students who graduate with an IB Diploma often gain advanced standing and credit for up to one full year at university.
The IB program gives students the skills they need to succeed in university, from improved study habits, to exam-writing experience, to workload and time management. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to stick with it—and persistence pays off, in university and beyond!
