Cookies for Science

They measured, mixed, and molded cookies together, learning about chemistry and how substances change when we combine them. While the cookies baked, they got a tour of Dr. Topic’s lab, as well as front-row seats to one of her favourite experiments – elephant toothpaste! They also learned about static electricity and all the magical things you can do with a balloon. After the demonstrations, the JKs and their big helpers sat down together to enjoy the results of their baking science. Overall, the day reinforced the strong bonds between GNS students of ages.
