GNS co-curriculars are in full swing! This week, the TED-Ed Club kicked off their second year with lots of great ideas and discussions. The TED-Ed club is a platform for students to brainstorm and craft their stories and ideas into a compelling TED-style talk. At their first meeting of the year, they talked about what makes a good TED-talk and looked at some examples. In groups, came up with a few proposed topics, such as

  • The power of persuasive speaking and the psychology of speech and debate
  • False memories and the psychology of memory and court affairs.
  • Gender Equality
  • Environmental adventures
  • Summer vacation

Over the course of the year, club members will continue to develop their ideas. TED-Ed Club is a great way for students to further develop their inquiry skills, providing them with a great opportunity to identify and explore the things they’re passionate about.  The GNS TED-Ed Club meets Tuesday week 1 and Thursday week 2 at lunch.
