By Leanne Giommi This week, Liam L. (Grade 4) spearheaded a “Valentines for Seniors” project at the Junior School. Assisted by two of his classmates, Nathan P. and Nolan W., the boys brought in craft supplies to make Valentines for seniors living at Carlton House, Berwick House and Oak Bay Lodge. They invited Junior School students to come to the Learning Commons at lunch recess every day last week to create their own cards. In the boys’ words: “We want to make sure that the residents in these retirement homes feel loved and cared for on Valentine’s Day.” Yesterday, Liam, Nathan and Nolan walked to Carlton House to deliver some of the Valentines. The remaining Valentines were delivered to Oak Bay Lodge and Berwick later that evening by Liam and his mom.
