For their IB Diploma CAS project, two Grade 11 students, Ava and Aimee, are hosting an art show centred on self-love and mental-health awareness, and they need your help! The show will be called Carnelian, after the crystal that symbolizes self-love and confidence. To gather pieces for the show, Ava and Aimee are inviting GNS staff and students to submit art of any media (photography, painting, etc.) showing what self-love means to them. To submit your art, please email 20perrya@gnsmail.ca or 20acomba@gnsmail.ca. The art show will be held on February 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Denford Hall Foyer, and everyone is invited to come out to see the art display! Admission by donation with all proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division.
