By Cheryl Palm and Heather Crossley Last Thursday, the Grade 3s had a wonderful time participating in several exciting science experiments and demonstrations by Faculty of Education students at the University of Victoria. The students got a chance to so lots of amazing experiments. They learned about the food chain, saw the patterns that Skittles make when colours combine with water, investigated bubbles, made rockets using Alka Seltzer tablets, learned about the relationship of weight to gravitational pull, and more! There was great excitement and learning that happened on this trip, and it sparked a huge interest in science among the students. We are looking forward to having Ms. Dallin and Team Science visit us in November to continue some more experiments. A huge thank you to the UVic Department of Education for hosting us!
