Glenlyon Norfolk School Presents: The School for Scandal

1777. London, England. Parlours and tearooms are buzzing with the latest gossip. Rumours are as exaggerated as the wigs, and as far-reaching as the hoop skirts. Backbiting is part of ‘polite’ society. In the midst of flagrant flattery and façade, an Aunt returns home, in disguise, to test the merit of her nephews. Who will Aunt Oliver deem worthy of the family fortune? Will Charles’ love for Maria triumph in the face of evil? Will Joseph and Lady Sneerwell’s true natures be revealed? One thing is certain; no one is safe from scandal! Join us for this fall’s sparkling GNS production of The School for Scandal: a fast-paced comedy of manners, bumbling romance, and ridiculous wit.
