Congratulations to Noah Zhang ’29 for his performance at the 2023 Vancouver Island Regional Championships swim meet in Nanaimo!

“I ended up having some really good results,” Noah said. “A lot of people were swimming fast and it was hard to catch up sometimes, but I think I did a pretty good job and it was really fun.”

Noah brought home some medleys and personal best times, and he also created a new club record with three of his teammates in the 400m free relay with a time of 4:37.82!

“We got a club record and were really happy about it. Our coach got us Dairy Queen after that,” he added.

Noah is very dedicated to his sport. He practices six times a week and his passion is demonstrated in his performances at the meets he participates in. He has been swimming competitively since he was five years old and says he loves the competition in the pool.

“I like how competitive swimming is, and you can make lots of friends with your teammates,” he said. “It’s just really fun. You feel really proud after placing.”

In November, Noah was also recognized by Pacific Coast Swimming at the 10&U as Top Kicker of the year! From February 10 to 12, Noah will head to Vancouver to participate in the 2023 Winter Divisionals.

Way to go Noah! We can’t wait to see what you do next.
