Last Friday and Wednesday, the Beach Drive Campus hosted the first-ever Grandparents’ Days at GNS! The event was split over two days, with Grades 1-5 gathering on Thursday, May 23 and the JK/Ks on Wednesday, May 29. On Day 1, grandparents, grandpals and students met at Shady Lane for coffee, tea, refreshments and a performance by students. They played ukulele, recorder and traditional aboriginal drums, treating listeners to the songs they’ve been learning under Ms. Illman’s direction. After, they walked back to the Beach to take a look at the artwork on display on the front lawn. In total, 150 guests celebrated the day!  On Day 2, JK/K students got the chance to show off their new classrooms to their grandparents and grandpals. After a lively dance performance, the students toured their family members through the new buildings, then decorated picture frames together. In total, 75 guests took part in the celebration!Watch some clips of their dance below… Thanks so much to everyone who made this great event possible – we couldn’t have done it without you!
