The GNS Nominating Committee is looking for good candidates to serve on the school’s governing board, as well as on other committees that help the school run well. If you can think of any good candidates (including yourself!) please let us know!
The Board tries to include the balance of wisdom and expertise needed to support and promote the school, and support the Head of School. Board members attend and participate in regular meetings, and contribute to at least one board committee. It can be an extremely fulfilling, interesting and important way to help our school and our students.
No educational training is required — board members provide oversight but aren’t directly involved in management, personnel or curriculum issues.
Board members are concerned with the overall welfare of the school, and need to be able to separate the needs of GNS from those of any particular child.
