By Dawn Nordin Our GNS mental health committee had our third meeting and the ideas were flowing! Student-led initiatives like a mental health week, interactive assemblies, guest speakers, parent information forums, opportunities for community involvement, and bulletin board displays are among the many ideas we hope to dive into as we work toward de-stigmatizing mental health and promote health, wellness and resiliency at GNS. This month, we are honoring and joining with all the self-identified male students, teachers, faculty and parents in the GNS community to celebrate Movember and promote physical and mental health for men in our society! Stay tuned for some fun and educational student-led activities. We are an open group, so come and join us in Ms. Nordin’s office every Thursday at lunch – Week 1!
