Update to Pemberton Woods Neighbours 061621

June 16 – Grad Group Photo and Lunch Our grads will be on campus for a group photo on our turf field followed by a lunch in front of Denford Hall. These events have been approved by VIHA and are following current COVID-19 protocols. June 17 – Middle School Grade 8 Celebration This end of year event celebrates the completion of Middle School and the transition to Senior School for approximately 75 students. For this year’s celebration we will be holding a scavenger hunt that will see students moving throughout the city over prior to arriving at GNS at 8 p.m. in parade-like fashion driving around the block to collect mementoes of their year in a “drive-through” fashion. To ensure a smooth and timely conclusion, our teachers will be stationed in three of our parking lots observing physical distancing to welcome and cheer on our students as they arrive and to respectfully move them along. Minimizing the impact on our neighbours during this event is top of mind and we will do our best to ensure traffic disruptions will be minor during the event. The event will be spread out over three parking lots— Laurentian Place, Richmond Road and Maddison Street. This event is anticipated to conclude by 9 p.m. June 21 – Graduation Ceremony Our grads will participate in a graduation ceremony in our Denford Hall. Their families will not be present but will watch the celebration via our live stream. June 22 – Graduation Family Photo Event For our graduates and their families to take photos, we will host a final walk through campus. Arrivals of groups of up to six people will be scheduled in 5-minute intervals. All arrivals and departures will take place via our Maddison Street parking lot with the exception of families who have accessibility challenges who will access the campus via Richmond Road.
