UVIC Centre of Accessibility Presentation for Learning Strategies Students

Every year, the Senior School Learning Strategies Department organizes a presentation for students with Individual Educational Plans and Learning Plans to prepare them as they leave the Senior School to attend a post-secondary institution.

On April 19, learning strategies students had the chance to partake in a presentation held by the University of Victoria’s Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL). The presentation was given by CAL Advisor Ms. Leann Finley, and can be found here.

Leaving GNS and starting post-secondary schooling can come with some challenges and we are here to help the students come up with a plan to become connected with the people who can help them as they start a new chapter in the Fall. Universities and Colleges across Canada all have a similar Centre of Accessibility and we use UVIC as an example of what these centres offer.

We in the Learning Strategies Department are happy to help you upload your documentation to whatever university or college you will be attending in the Fall.

If you have any questions please let Ms. Wells (pwells@mygns.ca) or Ms Finley (lfinlay@uvic.ca) know.
