The Lab Technician is responsible for managing the science prep room ensuring compliance with WHMIS regulations with regards to labelling, handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials. This role supports our science teachers with their daily laboratory preparations and tasks and assists with lab activities.

We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our learning community as a Senior School art teacher. As a highly collegial and collaborative team player, you will support the delivery of International Baccalaureate (IB) units that incorporate the BC curriculum.

We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our learning community as a Middle School art teacher.

This position runs from April to June 2024.

We are seeking an educator who thrives on the dynamic intersection of digital technologies, innovation, and collaborative teaching practices, contributing to a rich and engaging learning environment for students across various grade levels.

We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our learning community as a Theatre and Choir teacher. You will have experience teaching Choir and Theatre/Drama; experience conducting concerts and musical productions would also be a strong asset.

The Learning Strategies Teacher will work with Middle and/or Senior School students and their families, classroom and specialist teachers, and other student support personnel, including school counsellors, to ensure that all GNS students develop effective learning strategies and receive the necessary support to allow them to achieve their personal best.

We are currently seeking creative and inspirational educators who wish to experience the exceptional teaching and learning that happens in an IB school.

Non-teaching Staff

The Senior Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance on School facilities, furniture and equipment and for the general upkeep of the Pemberton Woods, Beach Drive and Gryphon House locations.

The House Parent is a supportive member of the Gryphon House boarding team responsible for student supervision and the overall academic and social/emotional well-being of all boarding students.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the School’s Gryphon Door, supplying uniforms, school supplies and other specialty items.

GNS is seeking someone with prior experience working with children in a camp or school setting, along with demonstrated expertise in program planning. You must be 19 years of age or older and hold a valid First Aid Certificate. Candidates with ECE or ECEA certification would be highly beneficial.

We are looking for staff to drive a small fleet of GNS vehicles, including the school’s 24-passenger bus, safely transporting students to and from various school-related events and activities, as well as transport to and from the airport and ferry terminal.
