Last week, Middle School students headed up to Crofton, BC for Camp David, a GNS tradition. The entire Middle School attends camp every year, making it a great way for the whole school to come together. Named after former Middle School Principal David Graham, the camp allows lots of time for group bonding within homeforms, and for new students to get to know their classmates and consolidate new friendships. Grade 8s attend for two nights, while 6s and 7s attend for one. There are tonnes of highlights, including a trip to WildPlay Nanaimo to experience their amazing high ropes course! Students also participated in kayaking, paddle boarding, “The Blob” laser tag, an escape Room, and high flying activities such as the “Screamer” zipline and the “Breathtaker,” a giant swing. Grade 10 leaders also attended on Thursday night to help lead the Middle School campfire. Overall the Middle School had a fun, action-packed couple of days at camp – the perfect way to start off the school year! PHOTO GALLERY
