Glenlyon Norfolk School is proud to be this year’s host for the Provincial Debate Championships taking place on March 1 and 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to see some of the brightest minds and up-and-coming debaters in British Columbia competing for a spot in the National Championships held later this spring. In order to ensure the event’s success, the school needs to locate 120 volunteer judges to assist in evaluating the debaters’ performances. No experience is required, and judges will be provided with snacks, lunch and an inspiring experience. Please note that first-time judges will need to complete a 2-hour training session at the school on February 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering as a judge, please contact Debate Judge Coordinator, Sue Siluch, at psrsiluch@shaw.ca. Go Gryphons! WHEN: Friday, March 1 (6:00 to 9:00 p.m.) and Saturday, March 2 (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) WHERE: Glenlyon Norfolk School (801 Bank Street, with parking off of Maddison & Richmond)
