Pro D Day Camp – “Starchitecture – Design A Sculptural Building”

Design is at the heart of innovation. As we look to strengthen and extend our student innovation and learning opportunities beyond the walls of GNS, we are pleased to offer this creative, educational, and fun learning opportunity with an industry-recognized professional designer, Krystle Schofield, a former designer with the global Herman Miller brand. Krystle now runs the Vancouver Island branch of Petit Architect, an organization that works to empower children to be responsible, eco-conscious citizens with hands-on design workshops, camps, and classes.
 This day long-session will offer students a chance to delve deeper into the design cycle while creating real products they can take home at the end of the day. Event Details Starchitecture – Design A Sculptural Building Date: February 17, 2023 – Pro D Day Camp, Ages 8-12Location: Glenlyon Norfolk Junior School, Beach Campus Innovation LabTime: 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. In this camp, we will explore the form, function, and impact of architecture that makes us go “wow”! We will study some of the famous landmark buildings around the world, and learn about the building process, innovative material use, and the impact on the urban landscape. We will use this as inspiration to design and build our own sculptural buildings. All supplies are included, and you will take your model home with you. Click here to register
