Summer Camp Update

We would like to share some important updates about our planned Summer Camp Programs for ages 5 to 17 given the current COVID-19 situation. Our 2020 GNS Summer Camps season has been scheduled and registration is now open via our new registration system that is accessible from: https://www.mygns.ca/summer-fun-at-gns

Please note that there are two payment options available for summer camps this year. Families can either pay in full upfront or pay the deposit to reserve your child’s space in the camp and review the installment dates for the remaining balance.

COVID-19 Camp Refund Policy:

Given the uncertainty of the current situation, full refunds will be provided for registered participants if the School’s Leadership Team (through guidance from Public Health) determines our school should remain closed and that our camp program is unable to operate due to social distancing requirements or health concerns related to COVID-19. We recognize the uncertainty this creates for parents and students alike and we appreciate your on-going understanding to keep our community healthy and safe. We are also working on some exciting contingency plans if we aren’t able to physically run camps in person.

Once our camp programs are open and cleared to operate, We will communicate this to our families and we will revert back to our regular refund policy: All requests for refunds must be made in writing via email to eharris@mygns.ca. Refunds or transfers, less a $50 administrative charge per camp, per child, will be issued for all camp cancellations up to two weeks (14 days) before the first day of the camp.

If you have any questions or require registration assistance, please feel free to reach Emily Harris, GNS External Programs Manager, by email  eharris@mygns.ca or by phone 250-370-6800 ext 5160. Please note, however, that we cannot take registrations over the phone.

We wish all of our families good health and safety during these challenging times and are optimistically looking forward to a fun-filled summer at GNS.
