Campus Tours

GNS is comprised of 3 schools, 2 locations and 1 shared philosophy.

We would love to show you around our campuses and are currently offering limited in-person tours for registered visitors only. Please submit an inquiry if you are interested in registering for a visit.

If an in-person tour isn't an option for you, we still want to provide you with a glimpse of the GNS experience through a virtual visit. We invite you to explore the resources below to get a better sense of our school facilities.

Our Beach Drive Campus

A magical waterfront setting in Oak Bay is home to our Junior School. Young students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 5 learn at a school where the beach is their playground and sometimes even their classroom. The grounds include the original home of architect Francis Rattenbury. At the centre of the campus, this gracious, historical landmark currently hosts the French classroom, Learning Strategies, Admissions, After School Care and some offices. On September 9, 2020, Junior School students and their parents had the opportunity to enter their new Main Building. This 28,000 square foot building includes large classrooms, a new gym and art room, an expansive Learning Commons, Innovation Lab and a central assembly area. The grounds have also been completely redesigned and include multiple play areas, an all-weather turf field and two outdoor amphitheatres.

Our Pemberton Woods Campus

Nestled in the six acres of the Pemberton Woods Campus are the Glenlyon Norfolk Middle (Grades 6–8) and Senior (Grades 9–12) Schools. Buildings are connected by pathways that lead through small gardens, giving the campus a peaceful, university-like feeling. Facilities on-site range from a 340-seat performing arts hall to art, music and band rooms; turf field; gymnasium; fitness centre; libraries; classrooms; and labs for science and information technology. Though separate, the Middle and Senior Schools share some facilities and programs, combining the advantages of age-appropriate approaches with an overall sense of community.

Gryphon House Boarding

Located in a historic guesthouse just minutes from both campuses, Gryphon House is the home-away-from-home for 22 students from around the world. All rooms are double occupancy, each with a private ensuite bathroom. Students have their own bed, desk and dresser, and roommates are carefully matched by our boarding team staff. Two common areas—one on each floor—can be used by students to visit, work on homework together, and build community.
